Software Engineer – Automotive Systems (MATLAB/Simulink)

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop software systems and applications using MATLAB/Simulink.
Build software requirements from the ground up and translate vehicle-level needs into detailed software specifications.
Test and troubleshoot software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Collaborate with international development teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of software and systems.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of software engineering experience in the automotive industry.
3+ years of hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
Strong proficiency in C programming and version control using GitHub.
Proven ability to manage and build software requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with electric vehicle technologies.
Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration, especially with offshore teams.

Work Environment

You’ll be joining a dynamic and expanding team. You’ll also work closely with a third-party development team based in China- traveling there for 1 month out of the year, contributing to a collaborative and globally integrated development process. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact during the early stages of a major product launch.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Riverside, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
