As a Temporary Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding property and ensuring a safe environment. Your duties include building strong relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Basic Functions

Control entrances and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Patrol buildings and surrounding areas.
Escort materials and personnel as needed.
Inspect security measures and fire hazards.
Handle special assignments as directed.

Responsibilities

Your duties may vary based on department size and specific post orders, but generally include:

Arrive on time and report to your post in full uniform.
Maintain a welcoming appearance and greet everyone politely.
Stay updated on post order revisions and crucial information from clients.
Conduct thorough patrols or maintain a fixed position while vigilantly reporting suspicious activities and responding to incidents.
Monitor surveillance equipment continuously as directed.
Understand emergency protocols to effectively respond to alarms and incidents.
Complete necessary reports such as Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports accurately.
Offer suggestions to management for improved safety and security practices.
Be knowledgeable about fire safety systems, CCTV operations, and relevant equipment during your shifts.
Ensure adherence to training and compliance guidelines as detailed by management.
Communicate any new security concerns to your Security Supervisor promptly.
