Volunteer - Recreation & Community Services Division

Upland Recreation and Community Services is committed to creating community through people, parks, and programs. Our purpose is to provide recreational programs and community services which enrich the quality of life for Upland residents by promoting health, wellness, and human development; and to maintain first rate parks and recreational facilities thus enhancing the desirability of the City as a place to live and strengthen community image. It is our goal to provide leisure opportunities that contribute to Upland's quality of life.

Volunteering for the Upland Recreation and Community Services is a great way to make a difference in Upland!

Volunteers can make a difference by

• Assisting with the set-up and tear-down tasks for events such as 5k races, movies and concerts in the park, and holiday events.
• Assisting children or seniors with crafts and projects.
• Performing clerical tasks such as filing and data entry.
• Serving meals.
• Assisting with park cleanliness.

Whether you are looking to complete high school service learning requirements, have a few spare hours a month or have recently retired and are looking to make an impact in the lives of others, Upland Recreation and Community Services can assist in finding the perfect match for your availability and interests.

All volunteers are required to complete an online application and identify their skills and areas of interest. Selected volunteers are subject to a background check (fingerprints) through the Upland Police Department.
