Highway Laborer

**Overview:** The Riverside County Transportation and Land Management Agency is seeking a Highway Laborer to perform manual labor tasks related to construction and maintenance, as well as assist with roadside and highway cleanup, catch basin, and culvert cleaning, and other duties. **Responsibilities:**

• Assist skilled craftsmen in the performance of their duties by performing unskilled or routine phases of the work
• Perform heavy manual labor tasks that may require use of hand tools, power tools and/or motorized equipment which require varying degrees of manual dexterity and coordination
• Perform routine janitorial duties
• In a training or backup capacity, may assist in and learn the operation of trucks and light construction equipment

• Ability to read and write English at a level required for successful job performance
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor tasks
• Ability to learn the tasks and skills required
• Ability to carry out instructions
• Ability to get along with others
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License
