Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Part-Time Personal Support Caregiver to provide direct care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is essential in supporting our clients in achieving greater independence and improving their quality of life while ensuring their health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.

• Support clients with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in recreational, social, and community activities.
• Support client goals outlined in their individual support plans (ISPs) or behavior support plans (BSPs).
• Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and incidents per APD and agency guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with families, support coordinators, and agency staff.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client.
• Transport or assist with transportation for clients as needed (if applicable).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of required APD training modules (or willingness to complete upon hire), including:
• Zero Tolerance
• HIPAA
• CPR/First Aid
• Core Competency Training
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if transportation is a job duty).
• Clear Level II background screening (FDLE, FBI, local).
• Strong interpersonal skills and patience.

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time; hours vary depending on client needs and assignments (evenings and weekends may be required).
• Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications.
