About the Opportunity

My client, a well-established and reputable general contractor specializing in corporate interiors and commercial tenant improvements, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to work on high-end interiors projects, collaborate with a skilled preconstruction team, and contribute to highly visible projects across the GTA.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare full-cycle estimates for corporate interior projects, including demolition, interiors, architectural finishes, millwork, glazing, and MEP coordination.
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope gaps, risks, and opportunities.
Perform accurate quantity take-offs using OST, Bluebeam or similar tools.
Lead subcontractor outreach: solicit pricing, evaluate scopes, level bids, and ensure full coverage.
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and assist in tender submissions.
Provide project handover support to operations teams (scope review, cost assumptions, inclusions/exclusions).
Support budgeting during preconstruction and early design phases.
Maintain strong trade relationships to stay current on market pricing and availability.
Participate in value-engineering reviews with project teams and clients.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in corporate interiors, tenant improvements, or commercial renovations.
Proven experience estimating projects $10M+.
Strong understanding of interior construction sequencing, finishes, and MEP coordination.
Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, and other estimating tools.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and clients.
Education in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field is an asset.
