Role and Responsibilities

As a Part-Time USPS Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring postal operations run smoothly by supporting both customer service and back-office tasks. You will interact with customers and manage critical clerical functions.

Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently
Sort, label, and route mail for delivery and distribution
Provide customer service at the retail window, including selling postage and processing transactions
Verify the accuracy of postage, mailing documentation, and shipping regulations
Maintain records of incoming/outgoing mail and complete required forms accurately
Operate standard postal equipment, including scanners, postage meters, and scales
Assist with inventory control and restocking of supplies

Required Skills and Experience

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift packages as needed

Preferred Qualifications
