About the position

Responsibilities

• Cleaning all auditoriums prior to opening for business
• Ensuring all lobby and hallway areas are properly cleaned prior to opening for business
• Ensuring all restrooms are clean and stocked prior to opening for business
• Maintaining the janitorial closet area clean, organized, and stocked with needed supplies
• Reporting any facility damage found to the General Manager
• Securing and reporting any found items to management
• Maintaining building security by keeping doors secured and alarm set and disabled as required
• Abiding by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods
• Knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures
• Reading and understanding training materials covering subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination

Requirements

• Prior janitorial experience preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written form with management staff
• Ability to identify problems, gather relevant data, and evaluate information to implement solutions
• Ability to perform under pressure and with minimal supervision
• Ability to interface effectively with co-workers and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others
