A rewarding opportunity is available for an occupational therapist specializing in pediatric care, focusing on assessment and treatment of children with diverse developmental conditions. This role emphasizes working with pediatric patients facing challenges such as Autism, sensory processing difficulties, fine motor delays, and regulation concerns. While experience with feeding and eating therapies is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience
  • Pediatric outpatient experience highly recommended
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an OT in California (processing time 6-8 weeks upon document submission)
  • NBCOT certification required
  • BLS certification (AHA) mandatory
  • Prior experience in children’s hospital settings preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions addressing developmental, sensory, and motor challenges
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient needs
  • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
  • Adhere to facility policies and maintain patient safety and confidentiality

Schedule and Work Environment

  • Shift: Day schedule, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (Tuesday through Friday; Mondays off)
  • No on-call duties required; shifts may be canceled depending on patient volume
  • Assignment length: 20 weeks with guaranteed hours after call-off policy is met
  • Free parking available for travelers
  • Scrub color is flexible
