Sousa Land Surveys has an opening for an experienced field surveyor. We are a growing California land surveying company. We are looking for a competent, intelligent, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our team. The ideal applicant would have knowledge of, or a desire to learn all aspects of land surveying, in both the field and the office. The majority of our projects involves performing topographic surveys of commercial and industrial locations

Role Description

This is a full-time role located in Southern California for a Field Land Surveyor position. The role involves conducting field surveys, preliminary research, survey calculations, training for initial CAD drafting of topographic surveys, and working collaboratively with the team. The field and office distribution of work is roughly four days in the field and one day in the office. Office work may be performed remotely.

Qualifications and Skills

Proficient in land surveying techniques and equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Candidates must be able to work independently in the field.
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good driving record
Successful applicants must be able to meet the background and screening requirements of our clients, which include K-12 schools, military installations, and sensitive data sites.
