We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team in a dynamic bakery environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers while efficiently handling transactions and assisting with various store operations.

Responsibilities

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure products are displayed attractively and are readily available for customers.
Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and enhance customer engagement.
Utilize upselling techniques to encourage additional purchases while maintaining a positive shopping experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and throughout the store.
Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices are followed.
Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or concerns over the phone.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
Familiarity with cashiering practices and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
Experience in merchandising and stocking is a plus.
