Roles and Responsibilities

Perform aviation-based law enforcement operations to detect and prevent illegal activities.
Conduct air patrol, surveillance, and pursuits to intercept smuggled contraband.
Monitor suspicious behavior and activities of persons and vehicles related to illegal actions.
Collect and analyze strategic and tactical intelligence.
Support search and rescue as well as humanitarian missions.

Salary and Benefits

As an Aerial Law Enforcement Agent, your annual salary can range from $106,000 to $127,000, depending on your qualifications and possible additional compensation based on your duty location and overtime pay, which can be up to 25% of your salary. The position offers a structured career progression from GS-11 to GS-13.

Examples of annual compensation based on grade levels:

1st Year - GS-11: $106,588; 2nd Year - GS-12: $127,754; 3rd Year - GS-13: $151,817.

Qualifications

Experience: One year of specialized aviation experience as Pilot-in-Command in various flying conditions.
Certification: Current FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with appropriate rating.
Flight Hours: Minimum of 1500 flight hours (optional waivers apply).

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship required.
Must have resided in the U.S. for at least three of the last five years.
Able to be appointed to primary law enforcement by age guidelines, now up to 40 years old for this role.
