In the role of Sales Account Manager, you will be key in cultivating customer relationships and propelling business growth. Your focus will be on both nurturing existing accounts and seeking out new business opportunities through passion, performance, and partnerships that promote earnings!
Your Responsibilities as a Sales Account Manager
- Champion the Customer: Manage and develop customer relationships within a collaborative sales framework. Educate customers on ordering systems, offer menu consultations, product suggestions, and pricing strategies to ensure their success.
- Drive Sales Performance: Your achievements will be gauged by your sales figures, growth in case volume, and ability to secure new business. You will make impactful sales presentations and customize your sales techniques for individual customers. Mastering your time and territory will be crucial for success.
- Collaborative Selling: Team up with our Specialists to exploit major growth opportunities and open new accounts. Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to guarantee smooth product delivery.
- Insightful Leadership: Identify and develop new business prospects using market intelligence, directories, leads from existing clients, and active participation in organizations, clubs, and trade shows.
- Delivery Resolution: Oversee deliveries according to the routes set by the transportation team; troubleshoot any issues that arise during the ordering process, such as mispicks, short loads, or stock-outs.
- Stay Informed: Keep up with market trends, product innovations, and competitors’ offerings; share relevant information with customers as part of our value-added service approach.
- Mobility is Key: Use your personal vehicle to conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Daily outdoor work in your designated territory, visiting customers under varying weather conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Experience in the foodservice industry or restaurant management is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
- Able to build strong internal and external relationships and engage in cold calling to uncover new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive mindset with a relentless drive to exceed objectives.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- A collaborative spirit to work effectively with both internal and external teams.
- Tech-savvy - proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
