We are seeking an experienced Director, Investor Relations & M&A to join our client on a 15-18-month contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of capital raises and M&A activity.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong transaction execution experience to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing team.

About the Opportunity

Transaction Execution: Support and lead day-to-day execution of M&A transactions, including preparing confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and financial analyses.
Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain complex financial models to assess valuation, accretion/dilution, and transaction scenarios.
Market & Industry Analysis: Conduct detailed company, industry, and market research to support deal origination and execution.
Presentation Development: Prepare high-quality presentation materials for client pitches, board presentations, and internal approvals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal legal, compliance, and credit teams, as well as external advisors (legal, accounting, tax) to ensure smooth transaction execution.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and oversight to analysts and interns, supporting their development and ensuring accuracy in deliverables.

About You

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CFA designation, or equivalent considered an asset.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory (Big 4 or boutique experience acceptable).

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling and PowerPoint.
Strong understanding of valuation methodologies (DCF, precedent transactions, trading comparables).
Familiarity with deal documentation and due diligence processes.
