Requirements / Qualifications

CPR/First Aid Certification (Standard Red Cross First Aid Certificate or pass test given by the California Highway Patrol (valid medical card))
DMV Printout (Have an acceptable driving record and qualify for insurability by District insurance carrier (MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF CA DMV (K4) DATED WITHIN LAST 30 DAYS )
Driver's License Copy (Valid Class C California Driver's License)
Paper Application (Proof of registering with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Clearinghouse)
Proof of HS Graduation (Copy of High School Diploma or GED Certificate, OR BA/AA Diploma or copy of transcripts showing high school graduation date/ degree)

COPIES OF ALL DRIVER LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION
Prior to employment, all applicants are subject to a fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and a fee for processing. Authorization of employment will not be granted until the fingerprint clearance from DOJ has been accepted.
CURRENT EMPLOYEES SHALL REMAIN IN A POSITION FOR AT LEAST ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE BEGINNING DATE OF AN INITIAL PROBATION OR PROMOTIONAL PROBATIONARY PERIOD (PER CONTRACT, ARTICLE 15).

These protections are guaranteed under applicable state and federal laws, including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and the California Education Code. MVUSD does not tolerate retaliation against individuals who report or participate in the investigation of complaints involving discrimination, harassment, or related misconduct.
