Facilities Lead

Winery Facilities, Maintenance, Estate Readiness & Event Support
Location: Temecula, CA
Pay: $20-25.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time | Approximately 15 hours per week
Position Overview
Lorimar Winery is seeking a hands-on Facilities Lead to support the upkeep, safety, and operational readiness of our winery estate. This role is responsible for maintaining winery buildings, grounds, and guest-facing spaces while helping ensure the property remains clean, safe, and guest-ready.
A key component of this role is supporting event setup and operational readiness for weddings, live music programming, and special winery events. The Facilities Lead works closely with the Hospitality Manager and Events team to ensure winery spaces are properly prepared for daily service and event operations.
This is an operational, floor-based role ideal for someone who enjoys property stewardship, preventative maintenance, and supporting hospitality environments.

Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Grounds Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of winery buildings, patios, walkways, restrooms, and operational spaces
- Maintain guest-facing and back-of-house areas in a clean, safe, and functional condition
- Perform general maintenance including minor plumbing, lighting, electrical fixtures, doors, gates, irrigation support, and small repairs
- Ensure outdoor seating areas, pathways, and event spaces remain clean and presentable
- Maintain overall property appearance consistent with Lorimar’s hospitality standards
Preventative Maintenance
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules
- Identify potential maintenance concerns before they become operational issues
- Maintain maintenance logs and repair documentation
- Support long-term preservation of winery property and assets
Event Setup & Operational Support
- Assist with event setup and property preparation for winery events and programming
- Support setup of tables, staging areas, signage, umbrellas, heaters, lighting adjustments, and event infrastructure
- Ensure event spaces are organized, clean, and guest-ready before events begin
- Assist with breakdown and resetting of event spaces following events
- Work collaboratively with hospitality and events teams to support operational timelines
Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with approved vendors and service providers when repairs require outside support
- Obtain repair estimates and communicate recommendations to leadership
- Monitor vendor work and confirm completion of services
- Maintain vendor contact lists and service records
Safety & Property Awareness
- Monitor property for safety hazards including lighting issues, trip hazards, or equipment concerns
- Report urgent safety concerns immediately to leadership
- Support property inspections and compliance checks when requested
- Promote safe work practices across winery operations
Tools & Equipment
- Maintain organization of maintenance tools and equipment
- Ensure safe storage and proper operation of tools
- Monitor maintenance supplies and notify leadership when restocking is needed
Typical Schedule
Approximately 15 hours per week
Example schedule
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Schedule may adjust to support winery events, weddings, and live entertainment programming.
Qualifications
Required
- 2–5 years of facilities, maintenance, or property operations experience
- Experience performing general maintenance including plumbing, lighting, electrical fixtures, and minor repairs
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to lift equipment, move tables/chairs, climb ladders, and work outdoors
- Ability to assist with event setup and property readiness
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred
- Experience working in a winery, hospitality, restaurant, resort, or event-driven environment
- Background in facilities management or estate operations
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
- Experience supporting event setup and logistics
- Experience coordinating vendors and contractors
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of how facilities impact the guest experience
